International Arrival Statistics (IAS) - OCTOBER 2018

The international visitor arrivals by air totalled 10,409 or 39% of all international visitors to Vanuatu. This is a decrease of 2% over corresponding month in 2017 and 9% over previous month. The decrease in visitor arrivals by air was attributed by the decline in visitor arrivals for holiday visitors compared to the previous month.

Cruise ship or day visitors totalled 16,114 or 61% of all international arrivals to Vanuatu. This is an increase of 34% over corresponding month in 2017 while it declined by 18% over the previous month.

  Summary of Indicators

 Sanma and Tafea province received the highest number of visitors at 37% each; followed by Shefa outer islands at 14%.
 Visitors who travelled to outer islands spent an average of 6 days.
